Membership Process

FIST talks to seventh graders in Steuben County each year about the process of becoming a member and the responsibilities membership brings. Those who wish to become a member as an 8th grader complete applications. Those are reviewed and narrowed down to three candidates per school, for a total of nine candidates. FIST members interview the nine candidates. After the interviews, one from each school is selected as a FIST member.
